FIND A TEACHER
The following directory offers a listing of members of the Newmarket & Area branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association. All members are highly qualified with certification and degrees in their specialized fields.
Subject areas taught include: voice, piano (or keyboard), wind (clarinet, flute, alto/tenor saxophone, and trumpet), violin, rudiments, and theory (rudiments, harmony, analysis, history or counterpoint).
Member teachers are located in the north-central York Region area: Aurora, Bradford, Holland Landing, King City, Newmarket, Oak Ridges, Richmond Hill and Sharon.
Music studies may follow the 'graded' systems of recognized institutions. Educational goals may include the successful completion of 'Royal Conservatory of Music' or 'Conservatory Canada' examinations; or emphasize other personal goals, such as playing for pleasure or the learning of popular styles.
